From a tomato farm to finding something honest and true
I grew up on my parents' tomato farm. We got up early to hoe, plant, and pick. That's where I learned what hard work really means.
Then I did what we were all told to do. College. A good job. A 401k. I spent 33 years at the big telephone company, in sales, service, and dispatch.
But as the end of my career got closer, I ran the numbers. After a divorce, what I'd put aside just wasn't enough.
Nine years ago I was diagnosed with a chronic cancer. The medication I was on caused three cardiac arrests in one day. I survived, and I'm still fighting. Something like that changes how you think about time.
I spent too many hours and too much money looking for something honest. Then one day I came across a TikTok from a retired man, a lot like me, who had found a simple system I'd never heard of. And he was actually getting sales. I had to know what he was doing. So I called him. We talked more than once. He was a real person, and I figured if he could do it, so could I.
